What Causes Intermittent Pain In Right Wrist While Having Hypothyroidism?

I am having intermittent right wrist pain which at time travels up my right forearm and today went all the way up to my neck. As fast as it comes on it can go away as well. I have no significant health history except I have hypothyroidism. I am on lev thyroxine 50 mcg daily. I have had this wrist pain intermittently for over a year but the pain has only become much worse int the last 2 weeks. It has only started to travel up my arm over the last two weeks. What do you think it might be? What type of Dr. Should I go see?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your experience with pain at the wrist radiating upward extending to the neck with worse severity in an index hypothyroidism episode I am suggesting that you have a migrating arthritis to rule out peripheral vascular disease

In view of this please do the following test
Complete blood count
ESR
Rheumatoid factor
Peripheral vascular angiography

Meanwhile please see an orthopaedic specialist with the results and for further clinical evaluation as well as adequate drug prescription

Moreover please take some analgesic pending your appointment

I hope this helps Regards
