What Causes Intermittent Numbness In Calf Post Hysterectomy?

I had laproscopic hysterectomy March 18. Since then, I am experience intermittent numbness in my calf - it arises when I have been sitting in a chair with my feet down. Once I have it, it takes a few hours to go away. Mostly I am sitting in bed or in a recliner with my feet up, and I do not experience it under those circumstances. I have already been to my doctor for my post op visit, and I mentioned it to her and she examined me and did not recommend anything further. No redness or swelling. Prior to surgery I had already been experiencing pain in the outer hip on the same leg when I lay or sit on that side, and pain in the outer knee. I think maybe this is ITB or bursitis. I still have another 5 weeks of leave before I return to m y desk job, but I d like to do whatever I can to rehab this issue so I don t have problems once I go back to work once I have to sit all day, or go on an overseas business trip. Any suggestions?
