What Causes Intermittent Low Grade Fever, Nausea And Diarrhea?

Early Friday morning I woke up nauseated and with a low grade fever, 99. I usually run 97.3. During the day I had bouts with diarrhea and was on the verge of vommiting. As night approached my fever reached 102.4 and I had chills. My fever broke that night but Saturday I remained nauseous with periods of lightheadedness and dizziness and my temp bounced between 97-98.3. When I get up and start moving I get very hot and start to sweat. I also I have very young twins I ve been avoiding to not get ill but need to get back to mothering them ASAP. It s now 3am Sunday and I m more nauseated than I was when I went to sleep and the slightest movement out of bed made me super hot and sweat. What s going on? What can I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of intermittent low grade fever, nausea and diarrhea which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which is due to viral infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole and probiotic. You should take Probiotics such as lactobacillus as well. Maintain hydration of status by taking plenty o fluids. You should take Ibuprofen to along with proton pump inhibitors as well. You should take curd in diet. Start taking oral rehydration fluids sip by sip to maintain the hydration. Visit general physician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
