What Causes Intermittent Fever In A Toddler Despite Administering Meftal-P?
My child is 4years old.He is getting fever off and on.It increases by the afternoon and subsides in the evening. He is not eating properly. He does not feel hungry. The doctor has advised MEFTAL-P 60ml supension for the fever. What is your advise on this.
Understanding your concern. As per your query your child symptoms of intermittent fever despite administering Meftal-P which could be due to bacterial/ viral infection and could be due to poor immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take combination of Ibuprofen and Tylenol as it is safe combination and you can take that for your present condition. Don't combine any medication like Aspirin, Naproxen. As fever is of high grade at times so you should do tepid sponging as well. Take diet rich in multivitamins, fruits and take multivitamin tablet as well to boost body immunity. Drink plenty of water to rehydrate yourself. You should give child proper rest and avoid intake of outside food.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
