What Causes Inter Menstrual Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi, I have had my a tubal ligation and also had a procedure done in 2012 to help with my irregular periods that stopped me from having my periods since then. I can t remember what the procedure was called but I haven had a period since then. Anyway on April 3 I suddenly had what I believe is was a period again for approximately 9 days which stated with spotting then was vey heavy and stoppped. Was very similar to my periods with cramps and lower back aches. So again on April 22 I started spotting again so I just called my doctor this morning and she wants to see me as she said it s not good. What do you think could be the problem?

Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done to rule out any cervical pathology. Also get a ultrasound done to see the endometrial thickness. If it is more than 4 mm, get an endometrial biopsy done to rule out any endometrial pathology. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Hope it helps.
