What Causes Inter Menstrual Vaginal Bleeding?

I had my regular normal period two weeks back. A week after it ended, I got another period with wayy heavier bleeding but no pain at all. I usually have pain on the first day of my periods. Why did this abnormal period occur?I ve never had this problem before? Is it serious? What should I do?

Hi, I think intermenstrual bleeding can happen due to various reasons. First may be some vaginal infection. So, get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist. Second may be some cervical pathology which will also be diagnosed by examination only. Third thing can be hormonal imbalances. So, get a thyroid profile and prolactin levels and a ultrasound for your uterus and ovaries done to find out any other cause.
