Hi Doctor! i would like to ask why I have a menstration twice a month it was 2 months last Nov. and Dec...i took althea pill before my last taking pills was Oct.4 then i stop taking pills after that Nov...2 i had a period and Nov 20 again i have a period then sometimes there is little or drops blood out in my vagina...this is only the side effect of pills?
Your symptoms might be the outcome of the pills your are taking. Actually birth control pills like althea are advantageous with few side effects. It includes spotting in between periods, breast swelling or tenderness, weight gain, stomach upset, nausea, mood changes, headaches and migraine etc. It's effect on the body will lasts for about 2 - 3 months. If persists beyond that consult your near by gynaecologist for help.
