What Causes Inter-menstrual Bleeding?

I got my period a week early and it lasted almost two days longer than usual, my flow was heavier, and I had awful cramps. I went to bed last night and it had finally stopped, and I woke up this morning perfectly fine. just a few moments ago I realized that I started bleeding again and I have gotten the cramps again. what does this mean??

Causes may include Uterine fibroids or cervical or uterine polyps. Changes in hormone levels. Inflammation or infection of the cervix (cervicitis) or uterus (endometritis).
