What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding After Unprotected Intercourse?

I had unprotected sex. It was inserted for a very short amount of time before we decided to put a condom on. It s been about two and a half weeks since then, and I ve had my period since. But I had sex again on Saturday and now I m bleeding again like I m on my period but sometimes it s brown and there are particles. Am I pregnant? What s going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concerns
Bleeding after sex doesn't indicate pregnancy.
Your bleeding could be due to mechanical stress due to rough sex, hormonal imbalance, old endometrial tiisue, vaginal infection, vaginal/cervix polyp, cervicitis, cervix/endometrial dysplasia.
If problem persists then consult gynecologist and undergo reproductive hormones analysis, USG scan, PAP smear to confirm cause.
Avoid rough sex
Take warm sitz bath
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene
Other treatment depend on specific cause.
Avoid stress, take healthy diet and drink plenty of water
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
