Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service. I read your query and here is my advice.
There are many reasons for prolonged period.
*hormonal insufficiency
*fybromyoma
*low platelete count and blood coagulation disorders
*endometrial adenocarcinoma
You should do an ultrasound, hysteroscopy, colposcopy and a total blood count.

Hope I have answered the question.
