What Causes Insomnia And Dizziness After Taking Acetaminophen?

I will be 91 this summer and have insomnia due to pain from arthritis and pins and needles pain in my hands. I take only acetaminophen at 7 P.M. and 1 A.M., i.e., 2 caps of 500 mg each. I have had very bad results from prescription meds, i.e., dizziness and heavy malaise the following day, so I avoid these meds. Which prescription meds have the least side effects? Are there highly effective external creams or lotions? Thank you so very much. YYYY@YYYY

Hi,

Drug do cause side effects and some side effects may be quite unbearable. However, they are not very common. Many drugs may help your symptoms like pregabalin or gabapentin or duloxetine. The best way is to start a low dose and gradually increase the dose, this will reduce the chance of side effects. If one does not suit you, you can discuss with your doctor as we can always change to another one.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
