What Causes Insomnia Along With Fatigue And Headaches?

I experienced dropping off to sleep in the middle of a turn for an entrance ramp; falling to sleep erect at my desk; difficulty sleeping at night- 4 hours each night during my work week; fatigue; and headaches. I lost my husband in December and haven t slept throughout the night since.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

I am sorry for your loss.

It is possible that your disordered sleeping may be related to this personal tragedy. Insomnia is one of the main symptoms of depression.

If you also notice that your mood is generally down or you have a lack of interest in your normal activities, this would indicate depression.

IN that case, seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist would be helpful.

Counselling and the temporary use of medication would help.

If the insomina is isolated and there are no other symptoms then you may just need treatment to help you sleep.
This would consist of sleep aid medication and possibly cognitive behaviour therapy

This is a form of therapy used in insomnia. It focuses on altering thoughts that may affect behavior

I hope this helps
