What Causes Infected Lumps Below Arm Pits?

Ive had huge bump things under my armpits for a couple of years now and many doctors i have been to don t really know what the heck they are. Some doctors gave me pills for them, i forget which kind, but they didnt work...they smell and i have so many disgusting scares from them. When i give them a squeeze thick, smelly yellow puss and blood comes out, sometimes its just blood and some other fluid and makes the stuff coming out looks a red-orange color ...so what are they?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the follicle. I recommend using an antibiotic cream for local application such as Neosporin cream. I also suggest to maintain a good hygiene.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
