What Causes Increased BP And Pulse Rate During Normal Activity?

Yes, I am a 54 yr. old women who has recently been having some issues with my BP and pulse rate escalating during normal activity. When I get out of the shower lately, my pulse rate goes up to 126 or 113 and varies over 100. I have an upcoming appointment to check on this, but I d like to know if this is dangerous?
