What Causes Inconsistencies In Periods?

Hi I am perimenopausal & mid cycle & I noticed a peachy coloured mark, either discharge or early period, had my smear last year it was fine & had an internal last week by my own doctor she said everything was fine but she did say to expect an early period as I have had aching breasts since my last period ended, but am quite worried can you help me please

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. In the current scenario, it is likely that you are experiencing hormone imbalance and the discharge is most likely due to this. Also, ovulation can be associated with some spotting at times. However, since you are perimenopausal, you need to get proper evaluation. Polyps of the cervix/uterus and erosion of the cervix can lead to such spotting especially on exertion. Infections are another cause. Irregular menstrual pattern is expected during the perimenopause. Please do not worry. Just get yourself checked and be on the safe side. Take care.
