What Causes Hypertension Before A Flu Shot?

hi, had a reading of 180 over 113 today before a flu shot at rite aid, i am on coreg 12.5 mg twice daily, when i got home my home monitor registered 140 over 84. was really nervous for flu shot and have white coat hypertension. should i have went to ER after that reading.

It is possible that anxiety played a part in your reading prior to the flu shot.

Your doctor would have office readings that would be able to determine if white coat hypertension is a problem for you.

If your office readings are usually ok or on par with home readings then it would have then been due to the stress of receiving the shot.
