Hi I had a baby 11 months ago and have been on microgynon for the last 9 months or so. I have been getting REALLY HOT flushes. To the point in sweating. I m not out of breathe, most of the time I m sat watching the TV. I m 30 and was starting to get worried it could be something not right. Many thanks Danielle
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM Hot flushes may be not be caused by your pills.Rather, hormonal pills may help reduce such symptoms at menopause. The exact cause of such a symptom in a woman not yet in menopause may be unknown. However, factors that may contribute to such symptoms may be as a result of changes in reproductive hormones and in your body's thermostat (hypothalamus), which becomes more sensitive to slight changes in body temperature. I will suggest: -You keep cool -Eat healthy and balanced with enough vegetables -Drink enough water -Relax well -Avoid smoking and alcohol -Have your weight under check -Regular fitness exercises If symptoms persist with these measures, you the Doctor for evaluation and investigation. Hope this will help Best regards
