Approx. 2 months ago I had hoarseness in my throat for about 4 days. And then 5 weeks ago I noticed white patches on the back of my throats and it was painfull to swallow. I went to the doctor and tested positive for strep throat. I was treated with amoxicilli. And now 1 week ago today I came down with a cold and sore throats again. I noticed the white patches again. I am concerned about my recent sore throats and these white patches. I have a history of thyroid cancer that was successfully treated. I also have had recent unprotected sex with my ex-husband twice and have experienced vaginal itching and redness since then. Just giving you a little history that are concerns to me. I had a bottle of amoxicillin at my house that is a ten day supply. I thought maybe I had strep throats again so I began taking the amoxicillin again. I am on day 8 and white patches are not going away at all. Getting concerned that these white patches could be something very serious. Any suggestions and thank You for your help.
