What Causes Hoarse Voice With Bad Taste In The Mouth?

hi I recently have developed a hoarse voice in the afternoon and evening. It has been for about a week now. I drink plenty of water. I recently decided to stop drinking totally (about two weeks ago) Could that be the toxins leaving my body? I do have a bad taste in my mouth in the afternoon as well

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history of development of hoarse voice in the afternoon and evening for the last week. You have stopped drinking for 2 weeks.
No, these are not the toxins leaving or something like that.
This is indicative of the following:
The changing voice as the day goes on indicates that there is edema/swelling of the vocal cords, as you are using voice more and more, the swelling goes on increasing more and more. This gives change of voice.

I would suggest you the following:
- Stop speaking, straining, talk only if it is a must.
- You can use pen and paper to communicate with people.
- Steam inhalation.
- Endoscopy of the larynx to pin-point the cause and get treated accordingly.
