What Causes High Fever Post Removal Of Lipoma From Shoulder?

My sister had a lemon size lipoma removed from her left shoulder 16 days ago incision looks good and healing just a little swelling left. On Monday night she started a fever of 104 with Advil it only goes down to 101 she is at an urgent care now her only symptom has been high fever since Monday with body aches and chills with fever going up n down so far her bloodwork only shows low potassium and low iron and the doctors have no reason for the fever. She is very healthy otherwise and very active and this has put her in bed since Monday

Hello,
Let me tell you that symptoms described by you suggests that your sister have surgical site infection(SSI). SSI infection that begins at the site of a surgical wound fewer than 30 days after the incision is made.
Symptoms are swelling and fever.
Treatment
Apply antibiotics ointment locally and dressing with hot water of incision site.
For fever management use antipyretic medication.
