What Causes High Cholesterol In Blood While On Evion?

Ihave been taking evion 400 for last 12 days as a doctor prescribed for vitiligo. subsequently on tests i found i have high cholesterol,tgl-257 and ldl106. my friend doctor suggested that i take in atorvastatin 10mg at night. Now I take evion at night also. I had rheumatoid arthritis issues which got controlled in just about a month back. Please instruct

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Evion contains Vitamin E and what has been prescribed by doctor has to be taken for your vitiligo.
But looking at the Total Cholesterol levels, it is quite high, though LDL is within normal limits.
Atorvastatin is the drug which is used to bring down raised cholesterol levels and keeps your cholesterol under check. It can be taken with Evion, which you are taking at night.
But it is always better to consult Physician before you start the medication so that the dose and duration can be advised and monitored.
