What Causes High Blood Sugar Level With Dizziness?

My mom got up at 4pm today... nothing unusual for her. She hadn t eat anything since early yesterday around 12pm. She has a terrible sweet tooth. I stopped buying her sweets because of this. I checked her blood sugar it was 177. She s never been diagnosed with diabetes but said she has been feeling dizzy lately. Whats your take on this?

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear madam I can understand your concern
in my opinion during any infection in body there is as light chance to raise of blood sugar
in case of over weight that is BMI more than 25 and age above 40 yrs with positive family history we need consider repeating fasting blood sugars and Hba1c after treating her infection in tooth.
so first check her infection and treat it completely
regards
