Hello,

I read your message and understood your medical problem.

I see that you are experiencing hives, hair loss, and insomnia. These are common side effects of medications used to treat high blood pressure.

It is very important to keep the blood pressure as normal as possible because it is a risk factor for causing stroke and furthermore, you have a family history of stroke.

You must not stop the antihypertensive drugs but if you are allergic to the actual treatment you must substitute the drugs with other similar drugs till the most appropriate medication for you is found. It is a good move to discuss with your doctor for the options of substituting the medication with alternative ones.

Be careful with your diet, avoid salt and fat. Do routine check up of your lipid profile in blood and cure all the other chronic diseases you may have.

Also, if you take other medications at the same time with the antihypertensive therapy, these drugs may be the cause of the drug interaction.

Hives have many causes and all the infections of the skin and other conditions must be excluded. The painkiller that you may be taking or the surgeries you have gone through may have developed an infection of the skin for example.

If you could give me further information about your health it would be great. Please send the following information if you can:

-diseases you suffer

-all the medications you take

-other symptoms if present

-all medical data you have like lab tests etc.

Hope this is helpful for you.
