What Causes High ESR Levels?

hi I have persistently high ESR about 40 for the last three years and I am asthatic. My AFP is also higher than the range it is 13.4 . in addition I have hip pain which comes and goes but my doctor could not identify the cause. I have done many tests that come out negative. can you please help ?

I really appreciate your concern, elevated ESR is not the direct sign of disease and it alone can not be treated, if it was some chronic condition without any symptoms then also ESR could be high, it was the infection some time and treated well then also ESR will be high for some time, in auto-immune response also it comes high, over all underline and clinical symptoms are matter of concern, if no symptoms are there then it is nothing to worry hope this information helps.
