Hi, I hope you are well, HBsAg tells us about acute infection, positive persistence for more than six months indicates a chronicity. You need to do a complete panel for hepatitis B because most people can get the infection and your body controls and eliminates it on its own, however in people who do not eliminate it if proper treatment is not given can lead to Term chronic irreversible diseases such as cirrhosis.
