What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?
Had sex for the second time after losing virginity...when he started to insert his penis, I felt a stabbing pain and said stop. Went to bathroom where I started bleeding heavy. Hours passed, and during those hours I passed some decent size blood clots, the bleeding has slowed down and is not so heavy anymore, is this normal?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. What you have experienced is quite normal in the first few times when you have intercourse. Bleeding happens because of the rupture of membranous tissue called hymen. There might be some remnants of it, which would bleed next few times and then stops. Experiencing pain could be due to decreased lubrication of the vaginal mucosa, which again commonly occurs during first few times. Hence, ask your partner to be gentle and spend more time in foreplay to achieve good lubrication. You may use external lubricants for easy penetration and smooth activity. Gradually, such symptoms would stop and would not bother you. Kindly take care to keep the area clean and hygienic to avoid infection from happening. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
