What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

Hello
I am 53 years old female and stopped menstural bleeding Round 8 years ago.
A few days ago I started to get cramps in the lower stomach area and have been bleeding heavily
And have had to use tampons four times a day due to the heavy flow.

I have made an appointment with the doctor for tomorrow but feeling so tired and lethargic and. Bit ready.

CN you give me any idea what is wrong with me

Bleeding after menopause is not normal & must be investigated & treated as early as possible.
The causes of such bleeding may vary from- Uterine fibroid,cervical polyp,infection from uterine lining, or malignancy.
