What Causes Heavy Menstrual Bleeding Along With Stomach Cramps?

I normally have a period that lasts a few days at most no cramping/etc. however this time my period started Friday and has continued with a heavy flow into today. I ve had some bad cramps as well. I have not been taking my birth control pills at regular hours at night it s been very sporadic.Could that have something to do with the irregular period?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.Taking oral contraceptive pills irregularly can lead to irregular spotting and bleeding due to hormonal withdrawal.
I would suggest you to take your oral contraceptive pills regularly at the same time of the day daily to avoid irregular spotting and bleeding.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
