What Causes Heavy Brownish Discharge During Menstruation?

HI im 19 years old and i am sexually active. I don t take any type of birth control and my periods are very normally and are always on time. My last period which started on last Saturday was about a week early but two days after it had finished i started spotting some red blood when i wiped, but now it has turned into a more heavy flow of brown blood which is very clumpy/cloty. My partner and i did have sex in one of the last few days of my period and he did cum inside of me, but i took the ECP afterwards. This has never happened to me before in result of taking the ECP, so what could it be??

The present bleeding pattern is most likely to have arised due to the use of the emergency pill which contains high hormone levels. This alters the natural hormone milieu. In the current scenario, you have to get treated for the prolonged bleeding and also get a sonogram of the pelvis to exclude any chance of pregnancy. Styptics can be used to control the bleeding.
