What Causes Heavy Bleeding While On Eltroxin?

Good day,I have PCOS, insulin levels is 19.5 and I have an underactive thyroid. Because I have PCOS I do not get my periods at all, but ever since my doctor put me on Eltroxin 0.05mg - I have started my period and it has been bleeding heavy for the past 2 weeks. is this normal ?

As per your history you have PCOS, heavy bleeding may be cause of this. Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.
