OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. During the initial years after menarche, owing to hormone imbalances, abnormal menstrual pattern is observed. The immaturity of the reproductive system with resultant anovulation is a cause. The menorrhagia can be treated with styptics, hormones, maintenance of proper nutrition through diet and supplements. Avoidance of stress is needed. Anemia is a common consequence and should be promptly corrected. Please take her to a specialist for a complete evaluation and plan further management. Hormone profile, including thyroid profile and sonogram of the pelvis are needed. Hope this helps.
