What Causes Heaviness On The Left Side Of My Chest?
I've been having some chest pain/ heaviness on the left side of my chest. It really scared me and I've gone to the ER a total of 3 times and took the necessary test which came back negative. I also had a left breast ultra sound done and that came back as normal results. I went to the Doctor yesterday and was told it seems like I have Costochronditis and was given an inflamatory prescription. My question is can the pain spread to my arm and shoulder area? Should I be worried? This issue has really caused me to have a lot of anxiety/stresss and panic attacks. I really want to get better.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. You have gone to emergency room thrice and all the time, nothing was found. So no need to worry for major heart or lung related diseases for your chest pain. Sometimes too much stress and anxiety can also cause chest pain. And this can lead to chest as well as shoulder pain. So don't think too much about your pain. Better to consult psychiatrist and get done counselling sessions. Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on it's solution. You might need anxiolytic drugs too. Don't worry, you will be alright. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
