What Causes Heaviness In The Chest And Severe Cough?

Over the past several weeks, I ve had a heavy sensation in my chest which periodically will cause me to cough. My throat is not sore, there is no drainage, and my breathing seems normal. I do get laryngitis every once in a while with my last episode about a month ago. I believe the laryngitis was triggered by a severe case of acid reflux late one night. I m wondering if this chest heaviness, fullness could be related to the acid reflux.

thanks for asking your question
i completely understand your problem
heaviness in the chest and cough can be related to acid reflux, no doubt, actually recurrent reflux causes some amount of acid to drag down into the respiratory tube that is trachea from the oesophagus so this reflux irritates respiratory tract and causes cough . for this kind of cough u need to take some proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole before breakfast . other causes of heaviness in chest with cough can be bronchial asthma.
u can consult a pulmonologist to rule out the causes.

thanks/regards
