What Causes Heart Palpitations And Dizziness While Using Advair?
I went to Dr Ugwoke at Gander hospital--He prescribed an inhaler for me named Advare---He wasn;t very nice to me when I asked him how this would be in my case-He did not follow up--After taking it for about two weeks I started to get heart palpitations really bad and would feel dizzy and fall--It happened several times--Why would he not want to keep in touch with me?
Of course, not very frequent, but still some of the side effects may be seen due to salmeterol salt, which is a beta 2 adrenergic agent and due to this action, patient may sometimes get palpitations, irregular heart beats, fainting and dizziness. It may also raise your BP some times. Hence, I will advise you to see your doctor or have second opinion in this regards for further management and change in your treatment profile, if needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
