What Causes Heart Palpitations And Dizziness After A Cardiac Ablation?

My 14 year old daughter had a catheter ablation for svt 2 years ago. She plays travel softball. She has been having episodes of her heart racing, dizziness, jaw tightening and says she feels like her chest gets extremely tight. She says she feels like she has to go to the bathroom when this happens. Could this be svt coming back? She also stays really tired

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, most probably, her SVT is coming back. Get her checked by cardiologist to make sure.

Ask cardiologist if she can run such high intense physical activities, and what meds to use when she has these episodes back.

Meanwhile, check her blood pressure, and sugar levels, and record the results for reference.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
