What Causes Heart Palpitations After Drinking Tea?

For about two weeks, on and off, I have had heart palpitations. I figured it was due to my intake of caffeine(from drinking sweet tea a lot) and so I haven t had any this week. I have noticed the palpitations less. I also have noticed that when I get anxious/stressed the palpitations come back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear. Tea contains tannins and coffee contains caffeine which stimulates adrenal glands and cause adrenal rush which may cause palpitations. But this is just in theory and may not always happen. In your case you may be psychologically feeling so. But anyways, if you are feeling better by avoiding tea/coffee you do so. Do not take alcohol, fags etc which are intoxicants. Learn breathing exercises which may help you.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
