What Causes Heart Burn Despite Taking Omeprazole?
I have acid reflex very bad and I take 40mg of Omeprazole. I also had a gastric sleeve done in July 2016, but I ve always had VERY BAD heartburn. Is there a acid reducer over the counter that I can take. I ve been taking one and its not helping to much.

you may also take gaviscon to get some relief.
in addition, diet modification is advised.
1. avoid chocolates; carbonated drinks,
2. avoid tomato juice, decrease salt intake
3. minimum alcohol intake and try quit smoking ( if your a smoker)
4. eat your dinner at least 2 to 3 hours before going to bed
5. raise your head by placing two pillows under your head before sleeping
also have urea breath test to rule out h.pylori infection.
