What Causes Headaches With Stiff Neck And Dry Cough?

I have symptoms that is similar to Lyme Disease. But I had a blood test and that is negative. I have headaches all day, taking Tylenol every four hours, stiff and sore neck, dry cough and rhinitis, sore and crampy legs and arms with shooting pain in left arm, low circulation in all of my extremities. Feet are numb on the bottoms. Cramps in legs at night and during day. Have soreness and sometimes loss of function of my left arm and left side of body. With left side being more worse, than right. Vision is associated, balance is off and feel like I have the flu, but don t. Don t feel normal, foggy all the time. When my vision affected just wait for a few minutes to continue what I am doing. Sometimes I feel I should not be driving, disoriented. Concentration down, fatigue and no energy. Low apetitie. Blood work is normal, autoimmune level is abnormal. CT is normal. Family doctor is not sure what is going on.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to occipital neuralgia.

Still for further assessment you may require MRI neck, nerve conduction studies after spine surgeon consultation. You can take tablet acetaminophen for pain.

Apply diclofenac gel or ointment locally. Heating pads may help. Continue physical therapy. You can take cough syrup containing pseudo ephedrine. Continue saline or betadine gargles twice a day.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
