Hello dear
Understand your concern.
Phenylephrine is a act by stimulating alfa adreneric receptor.
It cause vacoconstriction of nose blood vesseles and reduce inflammation & congestion in nose.
Some people is very sensitive to phenylephrine and following side effects occour.
1. Feeling dizzy.
2. Headache.
3. Upset stomach or throwing up.
4. Dry mouth.
5. excitability and nervousness.

If symptoms is severe, you can quit the drug.
You can try half the dose.

You should use topical nose drug: Oxymetazoline nasal drop.
No harm in cutting dose.
Addition to that:
1. Take steam inhalation 3-4 times a day for better result.
2. 1 % betadine garglling
3. Drink luke warm water
4. If fever take Tablet paracetamol 500 mg 2 times a day

Hope this may help you
Wish you good health
Best regards
