What Causes Headaches While On Gabapentin?

I would like to know more about Gabapinton? I don t know the correct spelling. Is it for headaches? My grand daughter had a seizure about 6 months ago. After tests the doctor prescribed Gabapinton. She has had headaches since. Is never without a headache. Sometimes worse than others.

Hello,

Headache is not a very common side effect of Gabapentin. Very rarely the patients might experience it but it is best to rule out other causes of the headache especially because your niece has had seizure previously.

I would recommend her to speak this with her doctor so the likely cause of the headache is identified. If all the checks and examinations come out normal then we can think the headache is this case is a possible side effect of Gabapentine even though it is rare.
