What Causes Headaches When Standing Up, Fever And Loss Of Appetite?

I get throbbing headaches when I stand up, my eyes hurt when I move them far to the right or left, the right and left sides of my neck are sore, I have been getting fevers the last 3 days, I can t sleep due to overheating in bed, I have no appetite. I went to a doctor and they believed it to be dehydration so they put me on a IV and used 2 bags, they also gave me tylenol and extra strength ibuprofen but none of it seemed to work. I have no sore throat or any mucus and no cough.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the severe throbbing headache while standing and moving neck from right to left do indicate underlying significant condition. The most common condition can be related to intraoccular pressure changes with viscinity pathology at cavernous sinus in terms of fungal or bacterial infection, thrombosis or else. I would recommend a visit to your neurologist for further evaluation and guidelines accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
