Hello. I was wondering if you could help me. I have dull headaches, occasional ear pain/ear itching, my eyes kind of hurt lately and I keep seeing a glitter out of the corner of my eye. I ve had random hiccups every single day and I m peeing every five minutes.

Hi,

The following are the possibilities I would consider in your case.

1. A possible sinusitis. You have ear pain and itching, eyes hurt and have associated headache.

These suggest a possible sinusitis as a cause of the symptoms and may have developed previously with some throat infection or cold. I would recommend testing X-ray PNS water's view.

And initiate steam inhalation and warm saline gargles 4 times a day. Antibiotics may be needed if the X-ray confirms the sinusitis.

2. The frequency of micturition can suggest either a possible diabetes (often associated with dryness of mouth and drinking too much water) or a urine infection.

Test FBS, PPBS and HbA1C and urine routine microscopy with culture/sensitivity. Let us know the reports and the suggestions for treatment can be made accordingly.

3. Random hiccups may result from gastritis. Take Tab Pantoprazole 40 mg twice a day half hour prior to meals. I have tried to make it a simple as possible.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Saumya Mittal , Diabetologist
