What Causes Headache, chest Tightness And Pain In Left Shoulder Blade?

Yesterday I had an episode where I had a headache in the morning then that evening my chest got really tight,I felt like I was going to faint, I was shaking like I was very cold, and it passed after about an hour or so but tonight I have had an aching feeling in my left shoulder blade and left side of my neck. Are these possible symptoms of a small stroke? I plan on calling my doctor in the morning.

Hello,

It is not possible to diagnose stroke on the basis of headache and pain in chest. I suggest you to consult a cardiologist for clinical assessment and relevant investigations.

A doppler ultrasound of chest and head blood vessels may be required to look for evidence of any abnormality.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
