Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain you have the symptoms of headache,
sore throat and excess saliva..
Excess salivation is experienced due to 2 conditions:
1.DUE TO INCREASE IN PRODUCTION.
2. DUE TO REDUCED TENDENCY TO SWALLOW..
In your case it seems to be due to reduced tendency to swallow due to sore throat and some increased production can also be there due to
throat irritation and stimulation of salivary glands to produce more saliva..
As the sore throat will improve the saliva flow will come back to normal..
As of now you can gargle with antiseptic mouthwash 3 to 4 times a day as it has a drying effect in mouth..
For
throat infection you can take:
-Antibiotics like
Augmentin OR
Azithromycin to resolve the infection..
-Anti-inflammatory painkillers like
Ibuprofen can be taken to relive pain. -----Doing warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and using a humidifier in your room can be very much relieving.
-You can also suck throat lozenges to soothe the throat..
-Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
-Gargle with antiseptic solution like few drops of
betadine in water..
-Chew
Vitamin C pellets to boost up the immunity..
-Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
