What Causes Headache, Low Grade Fever And Abdominal Pain?

Yes for the past 2 day I ve been having a severe headache with low grade fever and also been having abdominal pain. The first day I thought it was bronchitis due to chest pain and shortness of breath but the next day I woke up with just the headache and fever.

Hello,

You are suffering from headache, low grade fever, and abdominal pain since 2 days. You also had chest pain and shortness of breath. Shortness of breath can be caused due to anxiety disorders, anemia, weakness, obesity, certain lung and heart problems, asthma, COPD, etc.

You are suggested to maintain healthy weight, take home made iron rich food, manage stress both physical and emotional. Do regular walking. Headache may be indicative of dehydration, stress, skipping food, sinus problem, acid reflux/ gas formation, etc. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, avoid strong smell, do not skip meals, avoid addiction if any, avoid stress, etc.

Taking antacids or PPIs, may help. Low grade fever with abdominal pain may be indicative of typhoid fever or liver dysfunction. Bloating may cause chest pain/ burning sensation. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get liver function tests, stool and urinalysis (R/E and C/S), CBC, Widal test, required imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you symptoms. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
