What Causes Headache, Hand Tremors And Difficulty In Walking?

Hi My husband has the signs of Parkinsons. Right hand shakes, his needs to tell his legs to move, has difficulties standing up, etc. But he also suffers from severe headaches sometimes, runs into the wall or tree (Last week). I am not sure if that is from loosing balance or that he can t see the wall. He has bad and good days. Sometimes difficulties sleeping. He is 73 and I can t get him to a doctor. Do you think these symptoms are all Parkinsons or could it be something else too. :(

Hi,

The symptoms you have described, including hand tremors, difficulty walking, and balance problems can be associated with Parkinson's disease. However, severe headaches and running into walls or trees suggest that there may be other underlying medical issues that should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

Your husband needs to see a doctor to determine the cause of these symptoms and to receive appropriate treatment. If your husband is unwilling to see a doctor, you may need to encourage him to do so and provide support to help him get the care he needs.

Other conditions that can cause tremors, balance problems, and difficulty walking include essential tremors, multiple system atrophy, and cerebellar ataxia. Additionally, headaches can have many causes, including migraines, tension headaches, and sinus problems.

It is important to have a thorough evaluation by a healthcare professional to determine the underlying cause of these symptoms and to develop a treatment plan that is appropriate for your husband's needs.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hi,

It is difficult to say for sure without a proper medical evaluation, but the symptoms you have described could be consistent with Parkinson's disease, which is a neurological disorder that affects movement. However, the presence of severe headaches and difficulty with walking could also indicate other conditions that require medical attention, such as a stroke or a brain tumor. Your husband needs to see a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment. If he is resistant to going to the doctor, you may want to try to gently encourage him and explain the potential risks of not seeking medical attention.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
