What Causes Headache And Tiredness After Taking Lexipro?
Yes, actually. I take a small daily dose of lexipro (generic escitalopram) - 10 mg. I ran out on Thursday and forgot to get the prescription refilled on Friday. So it will be Monday before I can take it again. I have been feeling sort of shaky, headachy, tired, and more emotional than normal. Side effect of the sudden decrease in the med?
During studies on subjects taking Escitalopram , on sudden withdrawal various symptoms were noted. The symptoms that were rated moderate by most people were stomach upsets, flu-like symptoms, dizziness, vivid dreams and electric shocks/brain zaps. The less common symptoms were reported as severe: returning depression, headache, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, fatigue and nausea. But as you have got your prescription, there shouldn't be any more of a problem. Also you didn't write the dose and for how long have you been taking it. The withdrawals mentioned are in subjects taking it for a year or more. Nothing to worry. Godspeed!
