What Causes Headache And Tailbone Pain While Coughing?

hey I just got out the hospital Wednesday and had 2 spinal taps done one done on Monday night and one on Tuesday, on Tuesday they measure my pressure which was 47% very high I know they said it needs to ne around 14 put me on a diet I been sticking to it taking my meds theu told me too I really really want to get better yesterday (Friday) my tailbone started hurting along with my head when I cough is that normal?? what do I need to do?

Your symptoms seem to be causes by the spinal taps. The lumbar pain may be caused by the contractions of the muscles in this region of the spinal column.

The headache during cough may be related to the decrease in the cerebrospinal fluid pressure after the spinal tap.

I recommend you to relax and continue with the therapy prescribed.

If your situation gets worse, I recommend you to consult with your neurologist and performs some tests like a routine blood test and a brain CT scan.
