Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband 50 yrs old is experiencing a headache located at the forehead but when I asked if it felt like a tight band around his head, he said yes. I assumed tension headache but he has mentioned his left arm feeling numb, he did have a compressed nerve issue in c4(?) this time last year that had to be treated with cortisone(?) that had similar symptoms. He is super weak and says his legs are like rubber. He ate well at dinner but slept for over 4 hrs today which is very unusual for him. He s back in bed now. If it means anything he s an ultra runner and this weekend he ran a 50 miler on a bad ankle and sore heel. I just want to know if I should be concerned that these symptoms together may be something more serious. His speech is fine as are his movements, although slow. He didn t even feel well enough to shower. Yup, should have known. So sad.
Left-arm numbness could be due to something as simple as sleeping position or as serious as a heart attack. In between are dozens of other potential causes. This applies to numbness in the right arm as well. A temporary feeling of numbness in your left arm is usually no cause for alarm.
