What Causes Headache After Menstruation?

Hi, I have headaches from the fifth day of my period (near the end) until ovulation at 14 days. This has been a pattern for 8 months now. I am 46 but have regular cycles. Could it be hormone related and if so is there a replacement I can take? I can t take the combined pill, I tried the mini pill but suffered from breakthrough bleeding.

hi healthcare magic user, please consult physician as this could be headache which is called as migraine.
migraine can aggrevate during periods due to high estrogen levels.
please also rule out refractive error which can also cause headache.
